In the world of industrial innovation, there are those who read about technology, and there are those who build it with their bare hands. Abhivi. Jagannathan M.R belongs to the latter.
Affectionately known as “Abhivi” in honor of his birthplace Abhivirtheeswaram in the Thiruvarur District Abhivi. Jagannathan M.R represents a unique fusion of rural grit and global engineering excellence.
Deep roots & Early Sparks
Born into a farming heritage, Abivi. Jagannathan’s technical curiosity was ignited by his father, a dedicated employee of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB). Watching his father work, he learned early on that energy and machinery were the lifeblood of progress.
His genius was evident long before he became a CEO. While studying electronics at a local technical college near his village, he didn’t just pass exams; he built a fully functional Television set from scratch a feat that earned him standing ovations from his college principal and peers. Fueled by a profound love for science, a belief in the divine, and an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, he sought wisdom everywhere from school teachers to local repair technicians.
The "JEMS" Journey : Conquering the Gulf
Upon completing his education, Abhivi. Jagannathan M.R took his skills to Bahrain, a move that would define his career. It was there that he founded JEMS (Jupiter Equipments Manufacturer & Supplier Private Limited).
He didn’t just enter the market; he disrupted it.
With unparalleled technical expertise, he became the go-to authority for the most complex machinery challenges. From Road–Going Cranes to Maritime Vessels and Floating Ships, there was no machine he could not master. Whether the equipment was imported or domestically produced,
Abhivi. Jagannathan M.R possessed the rare ability to Redesign and Modify complex systems to meet specific industrial needs.
His ability to diagnose mechanical issues that baffled others earned him a legendary moniker among the Arab elite and international partners: “The Village Scientist.”

For over four decades, Abhivi. Jagannathan M.R has been a global traveler, not as a tourist, but as a researcher. He has:
- Toured factories across continents to understand local manufacturing cultures.
- Participated in major international trade fairs and exhibitions.
- Sourced and Produced essential Medical Equipment and machinery spares to uplift local communities.
He remains a student at heart, dedicating his days to reading and staying abreast of every technological leap—living by his personal philosophy: “From Marconi to Musk.” This means respecting the pioneers of the past (like the inventor of the radio) while aggressively pursuing the futuristic innovation of today.
